Grateful the Fur Is Not Flying

Scrufty (the grey one) is small but feisty. If Stripe (the tortie) does something to annoy her, Scrufty has been known to drive Stripe to jump up onto a shelf which is near the ceiling!

Stripe is very affectionate with me. But I believe she would like to be the only cat in the house. Whereas Scrufty does not really want to be handled much - she likes to be brushed but that's all.

Here's another photo of Scrufty - she will go out onto the cat run even when it is really cold. She's our most intrepid kitty!

There is always the one kitty who wants all the attention to be showered on them. That would be our TyGr, he loves giving "get away from mommy" glares. After the subject of his intimidation glare gets down, TyGr follows to wack but mommy also follows with harsh voice an stern "NOs" and in some cases a squirt bottle! Just like a dog, a cat needs repetition in training.
My first group of adopted cats were all mild except the very first, a torby tuffy, Jaime Summersault, (named after the Bionic woman and that she loved tumbling over things). She loved all the dogs that lived there but the other cats she kept her distance. She never chased them but she had a fierce hisssss! She out lived them all to almost 21 years! Out of the 18 cats we have loved, we only had 2 girls.=^Y^=
