Healing for Abandonment

Each of these ladies was abandoned. Scrufty is the grey one and Panther is the black one. I'm so pleased they are not as skiddish as they used to be. They love to get brushed when they are on the couch.

For any of you who are concerned about taking on abandoned animals due to the affects of abuse, know that love will heal so many things with patience on our parts.

Blessings to all of you and your 'beans! - Debby in Arizona

I had a kitty who was tortured and thrown from a speeding car. He had his quirks and was easily over stimulated, but in time he was one of the most loving cats ever. I'm glad he didn't hold a grudge because of what some ignorant people did. He was the "bigger person".

How true that is.

I have a cat who comes for boarding and he was rescued as a kitten. He had abcesses on his paws which had to be cleaned up which was pretty traumatic for him. He is now 4+ years and very badly behaved. He bites and scratches his parents if he doesn't get his way and when he comes for boarding, he is extremely aggressive (I can't touch him). His parents love him dearly but I feel they encourage his bad behavior. They go out of the way to bow to his every whim...which really isn't the way to go.

I believe the two yard kitties that live here were abandoned. It took over a year to get one to let me love her.. The other one is getting better. They must have been house mates of siblings because they have been here for a couple of years. I know they have been fixed cause we have not had any kittens!
